D.A.V. College, Bathinda has emerged as a nucleus for the cultural revival of the Malwa region, thanks to the dynamism dedication and commitment of the Youth Welfare Department of this College. It has a long string of achievements to its credit.
The success story begins with our college team grabbing Second Position in the National Group Song Competition organized by the Bhartiya Vikas Parishad at the S.S.D. College for Women, Bathinda.
The Punjabi University Zonal Youth Festival at Faridkot was the second milestone where our college was placed first in Giddha, Play and Classical Vocal and second in Bhangra, Group Shabad, Skit, Group Mime, Ghazal, Classical Vocal, Poem - Recitation and Debate.
Rawaljit Singh, was adjudged second in Folk Songs Competition at Abohar, and Sukhdev Singh was declared best dancer at the state - level Folk Dances Competition held at Rampura Where Bhangra team bagged the second prize.
In the Inter Zonal Youth Festival, the college Giddha Team romped home with a silver medal winning the second prize.
In Classical Instrument, Gurpreet Singh won the silver medal winning the second slot .
Our college students were presented a Gold Medal, a Trophy, and a cash prize of Rs. 3100 /- for their spectacular performance in the JHOOMER Competition organized by the Punjabi University, Patiala.
